Every year, the CANADA’S WALK OF FAME AWARDS honour a select group of individuals who have accomplished the highest levels of achievement in their field. Celebrating this year’s inductees and honourees Will Arnett, Alessia Cara, Frank Gehry, Cindy Klassen, Mark Messier, Mr. Dressup, James Naismith, Jim Treliving, and Triumph, CTV debuts this year’s CANADA’S WALK OF FAME AWARDS on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV and everywhere CTV content can be found. In anticipation of the broadcast, here are the Top 5 moments from the 2019 CANADA’S WALK OF FAME AWARDS: Inductees walk down the ceremonial Canada’s Walk of Fame red carpet Inductees and presenters ceremoniously walk down a 100-foot long custom centerpiece red carpet that features each of the inductees’ stars – a true Canadian Walk of Fame.   Alessia Cara is moved to tears during honourary performance An upbeat and inspiring performance by 18-year-old vocal sensation Martina Ortiz-Luis singing “Scars to Your Beautiful” moved Grammy Award-winning artist Alessia Cara to tears.   Jimmy Kimmel shares congratulatory message to Will Arnett Will Arnett gave one of the funniest acceptance speeches on the Canada’s Walk of Fame stage after a hilarious congratulatory video from comedian Jimmy Kimmel.   Mark Messier shares emotional acceptance speech One of hockey’s all-time greats Mark Messier chokes back tears as he thanked his sister Mary-Kay, who presented his award with his teammates Paul Coffey, Kevin Lowe, and Craig MacTavish.   David Foster performs tribute for Jim Treliving alongside The Tenors Grammy-award winning producer David Foster and platinum-selling group The Tenors, serenaded Jim Treliving in a tribute performance with a special rendition of “The Prayer.” Following their outstanding performance, the Commissioner of the RCMP, Brenda Lucki, spoke about Jim, while 10 other officers flanked his side.
